Summary:

We were approached by the client, a County Council for an alternative to replace wooden maintenance ladders on an historic road bridge. The river beneath is tidal at this point, with the ladders and bridge substructure regularly submerged in water. Over time this had begun to weaken the existing provisions for access and so a material less susceptible to this action was selected to provide a longer lifespan for the replacements. ?With Evergrip GRP gratings already succesfully in service for many years on this structure, GRP was the natural choice.

The standard grey finish of the profile components matches perfectly with the existing metal structure. ?On site measurement & prefabrication in our factory allowed for a swift installation process.
